Looking at the past.

Very interesting last few days. I have hired a new front desk person and we are preparing to train an orient her to the practice. The interesting thing is that I can see that this training process will be the easiest training time we have ever had. Over the years we have created written office policies and training videos for new staff to listen to so that understand how we do things here at the Sheely Chiropractic Clinic.

But this time, we are transferring all of our training videos on the server and will be playing them through a program that Cathy, my office manager wrote that has an easy to use interface for repeat training for staff.

Why am I talking about this? Because it is proven systems that make my life easier. I do not have to re-create the training system each time someone changes their employment with me. It is a successful system. It is something that will need to be checked once in a while instead of something that has to be created from the ground up every time we need it.

Maybe it is like how our cars work for us... we do not have to go out and create a new form of transportation each time we need to go some place. We already have a "system" sitting in our garage or driveway that is "proven". That is what I am talking about. Doing work that has value and stays around after it is done the first time. I need to continue to think of ways that I could only do the things that last and not the things that fade away. Hmmm .. sounds like a spiritual discussion.
